Last year was a stressful time for me. I had several changes in the company I worked for and then a major move shortly after I began my new position. Fortunately, we came to a building that had implemented a corporate yoga program. My co-workers and I wanted to experience all of the new things available at our building. Of 12 employees in my office we have had five people take Meghann’s class over the past eight months, starting as complete beginners. We now try to schedule clients around our yoga time because those moments of peace have become the saving grace in an otherwise hectic week. I am almost 50, so when I started I wasn’t very stretchy or bendy. I didn’t know the terminology or any of the breathing techniques. Meghann’s calm, open, and friendly attitude has given me the safety net I needed to grow in my practice.
I am a type-A, high performing sales person and I typically going a hundred miles per hour. Yoga has helped me become more productive and manage stress much better than I used to. This has been a big compliment to my weight training due to the flexibility and stretching elements of yoga.
Having the ability to practice yoga at work has provided many benefits. The class begins 15 minutes after I complete my work day, I don’t have to travel to a studio, I work out with my co-workers and am able to relieve the stress of the day. To say this is beneficial is an understatement. Practicing yoga gives me strength and calm like nothing else I’ve experienced. Meghann leads the class with a perfect combination of professionalism and spirituality that leaves you with the wonderful feeling of being grounded. I highly recommend this to anyone that is thinking of providing yoga at their place of work – the benefits are endless!
I currently manage an office building and have been able to participate in the weekly yoga offered to our tenants in the building. I look forward each Wednesday as a mid-point in the week to step away from my desk and check in with my mental and physical state for the hour. In today’s world, it has become so busy that we need more employers and office buildings offering this amenity so that it becomes more convenient to create more of a balance in our wellness. I’ve enjoyed having Meghann and Angie create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility through their tone, music and health knowledge. We hosted a Wellness Week with Meghann where she coordinated events throughout the week. She set up our own link to her website where our tenants easily accessed the event schedule for the week, completed online waivers and signed up for the classes of their choice. Our tenants truly enjoyed lunchtime yoga every day and fitness classes after work, as they were introduced to new styles of working out. At the end of every class, students walked out with a smile.
Our tenants truly enjoy the experience. Not only are the classes great for the body, but also for the mind and heart. They leave relaxed, de-stressed and excited for the next class. Meghann is more than welcoming and very personable as she knows each student by name. She truly makes sure each and every person around her is comfortable and happy. Our tenants are still raving about Wellness Week. We are thrilled to work with her and would recommend her services to any company.
Meghann is a fantastic yoga instructor. I look forward to taking her class with my coworkers each and every week. Being able to attend yoga after work has a calming and constructive affect on my professional performance and personal development. I find her classes help relieve stress, ease pain from other workouts and keep me focused on a healthy lifestyle. I mostly appreciate her approach to yoga.
